RAPE CRISIS COUNSELLOR
Rape Crisis Midwest was founded in * as the
Limerick Rape Crisis Centre with the support of grassroots volunteers
committed to providing crisis support services to survivors of rape
and sexual abuse. Today we operate as Rape Crisis Mid West; a
non-profit organisation providing leading counselling services, victim
accompaniment, and sexual assault trauma support in Limerick,
Tipperary, and Clare
We are recruiting for a Counsellor on a three day per week (**Apply on
the website** hours) basis, reporting to the Executive Director and
working in our Limerick office
DUTIES INCLUDE:
* Providing one to one counselling and support sessions to clients of
the service
* Working with clients who have recently experienced sexual violence
with a view to offering immediate support over a short period, in
advance of joining the waiting list for more ongoing support, as
required
* Keeping notes and data in line with RCMW policy and GDPR standards
